I have been a professional script writer for ten years and have written dozens of short and feature film scripts. I have produced and directed five short films (three of which were screened at the Canberra Short Film Festival and the Dungog Film Festival), been AD on another five shorts, produced an animation of two chapters of my graphic novel Drago Bentley: Space Detective (available for viewing on website), and have won first, second and third places in international scriptwriting competitions. I am a recipient of four ScreenACT funding rounds for my projects. I am currently engaged with the Canberra-based film production house, The Film Distillery, as an assistant and with international film sales agent Odin’s Eye Entertainment as a screenplay assessor. Below is detailed the last three years of a timeline of my cinema-related achievements.
Continuing to work part-time as an assistant at the newly established film production company, The Film Distillery, where we have been working on pre-pre-production work on a number of films slated for production in 2018.
Continued to do script coverage with Odin’s Eye Entertainment.
Working with Chris Soth on an idea called Toska as part of preparatory work for TV Pod.
One of the founders of Canberra Writers Room.
Began working part-time as an assistant at the newly established film production company, The Film Distillery, where we are to work on preparatory work on a number of films slated for production in 2018
February – Negotiating with Gibson Group for third draft of Wolf in the Wardrobe.
May – Began part-time work with Odin’s Eye Entertainment as a screenplay assessor.
Ongoing – Developing treatment of feature film treatment for Re-Size Me.
Began part-time work at The Film Distillery and completing post-production work on the first film slated for production later in the year – Contained.

Completed first draft of feature film treatment for Little Things Matter.
Draft of new TV series, Shadowvale, drafted for ABC Comedy.
Second draft of screenplay Wolf in the Wardrobe completed and submitted to Phillip Bowman and Gibson Group in NZ.
Treatment completed of The First Boxer adapted from Christopher Ride’s sci-fi book.
Screenplay Wolf in the Wardrobe reaches semi-finals of Screencraft’s Family Genre International Screenwriting Competition.
Treatment completed of Farewell, My Love adapted from Stephen Downes biography title A Lasting Record.
Participant in ScreenACT Accelerator Pod – for low budget feature genre concepts.
Last books of graphic novel Drago Bentley: Space Detective sold at comicon – 500 novels and hundreds of individual chapters now sold.
Pitch document drafted for Hellbillies project. Comedy writer sought. Positive feedback from ICM Partners (London) suggesting it gets ‘traction’ here in Australia first before selling overseas.
Treatment for new TV series Hellbillies pitched to ABC Comedy and ICM Partners (UK) – ABC Comedy has since ‘passed’ on it. Funding sought.
Production Manager and AD on film trailer Aodaliya produced by Li-Lin Productions.
Assistant Director – commercial for Canberra Youth Coalition – Rohan Taylor, Producer/Director.
Second draft of Hunting Jandamarra completed. Submitted for coverage to Script Pipeline and received a ‘Consider’.
Treatment completed of new feature script, My Mate Horrie. Now copyrighted with AWG
Screenplay, Jandamarra (to be retitled as Hunting Jandamarra) has recently reached the quarter finals of the Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competition 2014.
Treatment for future project, Exposure, drafted and sent to Producer Phillip Bowman. Also sent to ABC Drama and pitched as a 7 part series .
Treatment for next project seeking funding and titled Wolf in the Wardrobe completed and submitted to Producer Phillip Bowman. Funding obtained through ScreenACT in 2014. LA-based script consultant, Regina Lee, on board to be the script editor for the draft script.
Completed chapter 8 (final chapter) of graphic novel, Drago Bentley: Space Detective.
Graphic novel printed and promoted overseas in USA. Agent currently selling it.
Completed a feature screenplay adaptation of the novel Drago Bentley: Space Detective and pitched to Hollywood agents and producers in July and August.
Jandamarra screenplay completed and government funding awarded to script edit current draft. Seeking co-developer/co-producer.
